History

VDS Stalen Meubelen b.v. in The Netherlands has designed and produced quality project furniture for businesses and institutions since 1946. The company was founded by brothers Leo and Gijs van der Sluis. Gijs set up production and contributed his passion for functional design. Leo was responsible for general management and marketing. Today the company still has the same mission: to design and manufacture innovative and surprising collections with character. It is led by Gijs’s son, Nick van der Sluis, who is also CEO and chairman of VDS International where he directs the company along with Carsten Holmdie, President and COO.
